Culinary colleges in New Hampshire reflect the charm of Old New England. This is the land of fall foliage, covered bridges, and small town living. New Hampshire’s chefs enjoy easy access to produce from local farms as well as fresh Atlantic seafood.

New Hampshire’s culinary colleges will introduce you to New England’s long-held culinary traditions. Lobster will almost certainly appear on the cooking school menu, as will different seafood chowders. Beyond your local cooking school, you’ll find the best examples of New Hampshire’s native cuisine at country inns.

A visit to New Hampshire’s traditional farms, which cultivate a wide array of fruits and vegetables, can lend inspiration to your cooking school experience. Some farms allow visitors to pick their own apples and berries. Farmer’s markets are also a favorite source of fresh produce. Here you’ll find seasonal cooking school staples like greens, tomatoes, squash, and berries, as well as authentic maple syrup and handmade local cheeses.

Most of the state’s culinary colleges are located in the main cities, Manchester, Nashua, and Concord. Manchester, originally a textile center, was recognized as the “Number One Small City in the East” by Money magazine. New Hampshire is also home to New England’s largest skateboard park, and motorcycle racing fans will be happy to discover the New Hampshire International Speedway located nearby. Cooking school students can also pick up ideas and inspiration from the vibrant culinary scene in New Hampshire’s cities.

With a rich historical tradition and ready access to fresh, locally-grown foods, New Hampshire offers a perfect environment for its culinary colleges. In the words of New Hampshire’s state motto, “You’re going to love it here.”
